- Oral presentations to be delivered in Hljómarhöll can be uploaded to the following Dropbox-folder “A link to send in the presentation will be posted after the date of accepted abstracts”, at least 24 hours prior to your session’s start. Please name your files in the following manner: Weekday_TimeOfPresentation_YourName. Example: Monday_0930_JonSigurdsson
- You can also bring your talk to the podium in the auditorium in Hljómahöll on the morning of your session or in some of the earlier coffee or lunch breaks.
- Files should be in PowerPoint or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) widescreen format (16:9). Mac users may want to save presentations as PDFs as we will be using a PC for all presentations.
- Each presenter is provided with a poster board that is approximately 1.2 m (h) x 0.9 (w) (4 ft high by 3 ft wide).
- Posters should be designed vertical (portrait) in size A0 (84.1 x 118.9cm).
- Place the title of your presentation prominently at the top of the poster board to allow viewers to easily identify your presentation.
- Highlight the authors’ names and contact information in case the viewer is interested in more information.
- Prepare diagrams or charts legibly in a size sufficient to be read at a distance of 2 meters.
- Paragraph and figure captions should be at least in a 24-point font (0.9 cm height) and headers at least in a 36-point font (1.2 cm height).
- Organize the presentation so it is clear, orderly, and self-explanatory. Use squares, rectangles, circles, etc., to group similar ideas. Avoid cluttering your poster with too much text!
- Label different elements as I, II, III; or 1, 2,3; or A, B, C,; making it easier for a viewer to follow your display.
- Include the background of your research followed by results and conclusions. A successful poster presentation depends on how well you convey information to an interested audience.
- Please do not laminate your poster so that it can be recycled.
- Posters can be placed on poster boards located in Hljómahöll on the 1st and 2nd October. Please take your posters down after the closing ceremony 3 October.

Abstracts can now be submitted for an oral or a poster presentation for the 17th European Geoparks Network Conference, hosted by Reykjanes Geopark Iceland. 2.-4. October 2024.
The subject/topic must be relevant to UNESCO Global European Geoparks and one of the following themes: explain the chosen theme and whether it is an oral presentation*, a poster presentation** or workshop***.
